Nope, it doesnt automatically detect tempo from itunes library. BUT, its the best tapper Ive tried and it makes short work of adding bpm to an itunes library. Ive got many bucks invested in so-called "automatic" counters that just plain dont work. Seems to be a trend in Apples app store. However, after loading this little jewel I zipped through 500 tunes in manually and Im happy with the results. Its easily worth $3. I noticed several reviews with grumbles about lack of documentation, must have been the earlier version. This version has perfectly usable documentation available under the "help" button on the menu bar. Yah, I like it.
