Well Designed, Surprisingly Easy to Use
Previous to purchasing itjBPM, I downloaded another BPM app that was a port of a Windows application. That free app had all the problems associated with Windows to Mac ports - slow, bad user interface, frequent crashes, etc. It did a decent enough job, but got the BPMs wrong on enough songs that it wasn’t useful.
I downloaded ltjBPM because of the reviews, and am very happy. The user interface is excellent. It is simple, intuitive and easy to understand (once you read the documentation.) The programmer obviously spent a lot of time making the interface as simple and logical as it is. It is very Mac-like: everything works as you would expect, and there is no strange behavior when the user does something unexpected.
As a previous reviewer said, you can calculate the BPMs on many songs very quickly. Once you get used to the UI, you can easily calculate the BPMs of several hundred songs an hour.
